    So basically, for the author privacy means that not everything about you is known online... If the article would've been published today, I would've thought this is an April Fools' Day joke.

    The article does point out that it's possible to play tricks on "them" (the observers).

    However, all of the examples are too naive to be meaningful.

    Privacy thriving on the internet? Maybe for those trying to package it into a commodity, most of which will be little better than snake oil.
