Why its important to encrypt your traffic to the Internet!

    Have you heard of DPI or Deep packet Inspection?

    If not, read this article at Ars Technica Throttle me this: An introduction to DPI.

    DPI essentially does payload snooping at the packet level. Want your data compromised - then ignore encrypting your traffic outbound from your computer.

    The technology is not yet fully rolled out, so you have some time yet to get your ducks in line.

    You can obfuscate connections (like P2P and IM).
    If I recall correctly, the pay-for internet ideas were turned down recently ...
