Why are there no open source Firewall's/HIPS programs for windows?

    While it may not protect drivers etc., Sandboxie has restrictions which configurably block internet access for the sandboxed application. Not open source of course. I use it all the time based on a) application needs internet but will be blocked from my file-system b) application doesn't really need internet, that is blocked, but can access selected filesystem areas. Presuming Sandboxie works and is not malicious, that works for me, given that it's Windows we're talking about here ("standard" commercial-level security/privacy).
