I have been searching the Acronis site and these forums to determine which product is the one I need -- either the Acronis True Image 2009 Home product or the True Image Echo Workstation product.

I am running WinXP Professional with 4 disks: 2 are in a RAID 0 array with two partitions and include the bootable OS partition. The other two disks are in a mirrored RAID 1 array with one partition. The disk controller is an older Intel ICH6R.

I want to backup my files across a GB Ethernet network to a Synology NAS device, and be able to restore my files from that location.

My major concern is recovering the OS partition on the RAID 0 array after a failure.

Which product would enable me to boot with bootable media and restore across the network with a backup stored on an NAS device and available via Ethernet? I was thinking I needed the True Image Echo Workstation product with the Universal Restore add-in.

Thanks for any help with this question.

Assuming the NAS device is detected correctly, I would think either version would work.

You can download the TI 2009 trial and see if it works with your computer and NAS.

You shouldn't need UR if you're going to be restoring back to the same computer.
