ESET suite is fast and stays fast. My choice. Good price if you get the 2 year deal. Renewal price is even better. Version 5 will be out soon.

Norton 360 slowed down browsing at about 2 weeks of initial use. 3rd party tests indicate fast, but my experience is that time slows it down.

None. IS suites are often bloatware with all kinds of useless components.

And layering security is a good practice. You can't rely on one product only.

    Hello,

Norton Security Suite provided by Comcast. It's the latest version.

    Regards,

I don't use suites. I prefer to use security procedures and individual applications that suit my exact requirements

Burning up 3 user licenses for Norton, Kaspersky, and ESET. Currently using Norton as it causes the least problems. The false positives are annoying especially when they delete without asking but it is infrequent lately and my only complaint. Kaspersky is unstable and crashes and the ESET firewall ruins that suite for me. Can't reliably connect to the other LAN machines with it on.

How times and choices have changed.

Webroot bought Prevx and my ideas about suite, that suite Webroot SecureAnywhere Essentials (and Complete) have changed. I uninstalled Trojan Remover, HitmanPro35, HousecallLauncher, and Online Armor.

    I now have
Webroot SecureAnywhere Essentials (a suite lite; I upgrade to Complete 2012)
    Sandboxie
    SpywareBlaster

    and, yes, Windows XP Firewall

    SUPERAntispyware free
    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware free

The Webroot firewall will work alongside with Online Armor or probably all other firewalls. It is a supplement, a firewall extender. It gives the XP firewall what critics say it lacks, outbound protection.
I still have six antirootkits; I want to keep three.

    Which three keep?
    gmer
    F-Secure Blacklight
    Rootkit Unhooker
    IceSword
    RootkitRevealer
    TDSSKiller

I'll keep TDSSKiller because it specializes.

Which other two keep I ask myself?

Looks like OA++ is going to be history. OA premium + EAM would be my vote.

I had several issues with NIS 2012 (The 2011 version was much better for me), then mass one month looking for an antivirus/suite that works with no bugs and no popups, found ESET NOD32 which is serving me very well in conjunction with my other software.
