Which AV software can scan the "password protected" files in Lavasoft's Ad-Aware file

    I have just read dallen's thread and I found I have the same problem.

    I used KAV 5.0 , and I found it can not scan it.

    I want to know that which AV software can scan the "password protected"

    files in Lavasoft's Ad-Aware files.

    none. :doubt: without the password the av can not open the file which means it can't scan it.

    No Anti-Virus will scan password-protected files. NOD32 notifies the user that it cannot scan these files, while other AVs do not.

    BitDefender will also notify that the files are password-protected if you set the AV to log *all* files scanned.
