Why isn't Panda listed? I hate having to vote "other". [IMG] RAV, which is not even around anymore, techinically speaking, is even on the list. I know there are Panda users out there.

Panda users unite! Get Panda on the ballot. [IMG] [IMG]

    Maybe it's the "cult" thing.[IMG]

I used BitDefender Standard before I got update problems for over two weeks. I really like it, but was forced to change due to these problems. :doubt:
One email account receives regularly virusses, so that was my main reason to change.
On recommendation of a friend I tried Kaspersky Personal 5.0 and I'm very pleased with it. After the trial period I bought it immediately. :D

I can't believe this post has gone this long without "IGNITING", but then nobody has said anything negative about NOD, I guess that's the reason.

KAV 4.5 - resident (I like the control; seems more stable than KAV 5)
BitDefender Free - on demand (did have NOD32, but NOD32 started freezing my computer up for some reason.)

Use Panda Titanium 2004 for a while already and I find it just a great, simple, fast scanner. No problems, finds malware, scans mail etc......just top for me.

I think most people underrate Panda and that's too bad, really.

Currently AVG, but I am planning to purchase either NOD32 or KAV.

One of the things i like about NAV is once you purchase it, it is usually only about $10. for the upgrade at either Best Buy or CompUSA. Not a bad deal for one of the top anti-viruses. And you don't have to risk using your credit card online, you just walk into a store, where it could also easily be returned if there were any problems. I know not everyone likes it, but it is a good solid anti-virus, no matter what they may say.

I wouldn't ever rely on AVG (free) as my only AV, unless you stick with only safe sites, but going to riskier sites may land you in some very hot water. So all you porn surfers, stay away from AVG! AVG is not so good at detecting the lesser know viruses, that's really about the only problem with it. Porn sites, and the like, are where your often likely to find the lesser known viruses.

I would say AVG is great as a backup for one of the big guns. But if AVG is your only choice (you just can't afford a top of the line AV) then i would have a backup AV to run along with it, such as Antivir, Avast!, Bitdefender, ect.. as a on-demand scanner only, of course.

That explains the lack of oxygen to the brain mate.. umbillical cord wrapped around too tightly on those 'curves', LOL....

I've never tried Panda. It's supposed to have a very good Online Scanner along with Housecall/Symantec, etc.
