    Hey Frank,

Your clipboard is a holding place in your PC's memory where data is stored after you use the Cut or Copy command.

To display a screenshot....you can use MS paint found in Programs\Accessories. Open MS paint and paste the contents of the clipboard into MS paint.

Frank....as far as I'm concerned you made yourself perfectly clear. What I failed to do is make myself perfectly clear I reckon. There is no actual clipboard per say....it's just there in your PC's memory. It's similar to a calculator where you have the feature of storing an item in memory and then re-calling that memorized item....same for clipboard. If you had text that you had saved to the clipboard(PC's memory)....you could then display that content in clipboard viewer, notepad, word pad....etc. Since your speaking of a screenshot....you have to use a program that you can paste an image(your screenshot) into....hence the suggestion of MS paint.

    Edit:

No problem Frank....glad you got it all squared away while I was slow in typing :)

Probably I'm misunderstanding you too, if I am please feel free to beat me over the head with a big stick.

Clipboard actually exists as an entity... In XP you'll find it as clipbrd.exe in WINDOWS/system32. Here's a litle article about it -

Hope I'm not too far off what you're after, so HTH. (May help somebody anyway.)
