    Help,

This day I want to update Windows by enabling the "Automatic Update Service" through services.msc.
I realize, this service is missing. Those registry may be deleted by virus etc.

    I still found wuauserv.dll in C:\WINDOWS\system32

I start googling, hope that i can find some registry to restore this "Automatic Update Service" but still no luck.
How about merge a wuauserv.reg from the healthy OS? Can u tell me how to fix this? Im XP SP2.

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\wuauserv]

    Glad it's resolved.:)

I keep forgetting about Dial-a-fix which is a good tool for fixing probs with auto updates.
