    Actually, I think it has already been explained why right here:

    And personally, in today's society and day and age, I respect a software company that holds this belief and acts upon it. Since I'm trialing NOD right now and was leaning towards keeping it once the trial has expired, this is a big kudos and thumbs up in their favor, I can tell you that much....
