Welcome dvk01! That seems quite a prickly situation. Really, though, it is great to see the work you are doing! I have always loved animals and have kept menageries of my own. Uguel
I am wondering what part of the world does Russia belong to, because half of it lies in Europe and another half in Asia. There is a continent called Eurasia, so I guess that is where Russia can be located on. I was born in The Far East (it is near Japan) but now I live&work in Moscow. It is snowy and cold here at this time! May you all satisfy your need for joy, happiness and recognition in the new 2004 year!!! Best regards, Igor Kurzin
Come on in Igor and feel the warmth of the Wilders Crew, there are no cold shoulders here. Regards, Cochise,
Honeymoon Capital Of The World...So they Say (personally it"s just a tourist trap ) Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
My wife and I took a short vacation to Niagara Falls last year, first time either of us had ever been there which is weird considering how close we have always lived to that area. If you can ignore the tourist trap, which is indeed everywhere, and just concentrate on the Falls, it is very beautiful. We are hikers and enjoyed hiking the gorge, visiting Fort Niagara, and walking Goat Island and the Three Sisters. Acadia
Derek, I'm sure you must have an interesting story about treating 31 hedgehogs in a small flat. Are they at risk in Epping Forest?
Given the odds, I fear it might be more correct to say that the 31 hedgehogs are "treating" the small flat!!
Southern (or s.w.) Ontario Canada here -- in the home of what used to be, maybe still is, the largest Oktoberfest outside of Munich Germany itself. Alas, the college kids have mostly taken it over and turned it into a drink-till-you-puke-fest, so we don't get the hordes of visitors we used to.
It's been years since i've been to the Oktoberfest you have there!! (if it's the one i think you're talking about) Great time! Use to go roller skating there too---best roller rink in Southern Ontario! Glad to see another Ontarian here! snap
Hi, snap, glad to meet you. No harm in saying I'm in Kitchener, just to confirm that -- that info's all over the net anyway. If you mean the old "Twist" (or Super 7 -- head injury plus accumulated years don't exactly enhance memory ), that's been gone and replaced by a nightclub (still the Twist) for at least 10 or 12 years now. I drove taxi weekends for 20 years, and almost any time of evening it was a great place to sit and wait for fares.
GREAT to see you all here and for those who haven't got one, have a Karma Cookie, you deserve it for taking the time to post. Regards, Cochise,
Well,I think I`m the only person hereabouts from the Isle of Man! OK,so you don`t know where that is-let me explain: It`s a self governing island in the middle of the Irish Sea size 35m x 15m,about midway between Ireland and the U.K.and formerly known as a "tax haven",but now referred to as an "offshore investment centre" i.e.,no money laundering now-we hope! The U.K. looks after defence and foreign relations etc. for us,and we are not part of the EEC.We have many overseas residents here, but mostly from South Africa it seems! So why have I not been invited for a "braai" yet guys?
I'm from San Jose, California -- right in the heart of Silicon Valley!! Anybody have a job available?!?!?!
Aloha, I'm from Hancock, Maryland, which is 90 odd miles west of Baltimore. Some say the garden spot of the East and some the nether regions, in any event if you're driving through, don't blink...
Hi I'am from Cheshire England Thankyou to dvk01 who pointed me to this very helpfull forum from another very helpfull forum that we both post on
