Just continues to get worse for our rights, privacy and freedoms Only a matter of time before we are constantly scanned sitting on the couch watching tv or having a shower http://blogs.forbes.com/andygreenbe...an-technology-deployed-in-street-roving-vans/
What about any damage that the x-rays may be causing? I didn't read any info on that. When I sit in my dentist's chair and they want to x-ray my teeth, they put that big, heavy body shield on top of me and run into the other room before they snap a picture. So what are these backscatter x-ray scanners mounted in vans doing when they perform their magic?
Someone (I think it was the author) answered that in the comments section. Potential suicide bombers all over must be praying that the privacy activists win this one!
Right, Benjamin Franklin et alia notwithstanding. Whatever. And it's not just theoretical "principal of the thing" we're talking about. You're all familiar with the extraordinary LEA powers that Americans accepted after 9/11, right? Do you know who they've been most successful against? Surprise -- it's drug dealers! As if we really needed to imprison another million pot dealers.
