They put the wrong links on that page. The paragraph should be:

Sorry, that makes no sense. XMON isn't a part of ESS, so wouldn't posting into the forum for ESS for a beta build of XMON 2.7 be a little confusing?

No one has posted anything to do with the XMON beta into ESS forum!

Well, its the only Beta forum they have. They asked for the old Beta forum to be closed and replaced by the ESS Beta Forum. We followed their instructions. There's nothing more I can say about it - it's the way they asked for it to be.

You can post here, it's not worth creating a separate forum if there will be only one or two posts.

    Hi

betasupport@eset.sk is not only for ESS. It can be used to send us any notices from beta testers and does not matter which product it is about. So, if you have some XMON 2.7 feedback, don't hesitate to let us know.

    Thanks a lot.
    Cheers.

Thanks guys. Jozef from Beta Support just told me the same thing by email. :)

Some questions to start off with is:

    1. How stable is the current beta build?
    2. Do you have a scheduled release date for the 2nd beta build?
    3. Can I install XMON Beta over to the top of my current 2.51 install?
    4. When I finally come to install the final build, will I have to (and is it recommended to) uninstall the beta before installing the final build?
    5. Are there any security risks where beta installs are concerned?

    Thanks for your time.

    1. How stable is the current beta build?
The current beta has only some issues with the rules editor. We have fixed these bugs and the Slovak version of XMON 2.71 has recently been released.

    2. Do you have a scheduled release date for the 2nd beta build?
There will not be any other beta build, the final version will be released shortly.

    3. Can I install XMON Beta over to the top of my current 2.51 install?
    Yes, you can.

    4. When I finally come to install the final build, will I have to (and is it recommended to) uninstall the beta before installing the final build?
It will be enough to install it on the top of the beta, but it's always a good practice to uninstall the current version first.

    5. Are there any security risks where beta installs are concerned?
The only issues with the beta are related to applying certain rules. If you wish, drop an email to support[at]eset.com or PM me and I will provide you with a link to the final version of XMON 2.71
