First off and in equal importance, is that this ridiculous acronym EDC ( EveryDay Carry ) is reported immediately to the *AAAAA for abusing the privilege that is the alphabet.

As to what I carry everyday - This question has forced me to accept what is now not in my pockets.

I now have a tragic lack of string, elastic, & marbles (one of which should be really cool and special). I is also lacking conkers (prepared with vinegar and baked to promote toughness in battle) and my trusty magnifying glass (is conkers just a British thing ?). There should also be a copy of the Beezer (comic) rolled up in my back pocket and a jam jar with holes punched in the lid for collecting various specimens - all of which was all a boy needed to get on in life.

Now I is much older and has let these things go to make way for money & keys

.......and they is heavier than everything that went before.

I can't think that when the Universe created time it meant to seperate a man so totally from his childhood.

......and so I have decided that time won't take it amiss, if I turn it back a little, by returning just one thing to the bottom of my pocket.

Now, from this morning onwards, I carry money, keys and something that looks to all the World as if it's only a piece of string.

as little as I can get by with--usually just a billfold--used to be cigs and lighter too, but no need for them anymore since quitting--lightened my load a bit :D
