What Would Happen If the Whole Internet Just Shut Down All of a Sudden?

It's amazing how this situation would probably cause people to kill each other in the streets if it lasted more than a few hours when 25 years ago life was fine without it.

 

People would forget how to wipe their ***. And then kill each other.

 

I think they would learn how to do it without asking "Is there an app for it?".

 

But if they cannot post pictures of it on FB, what would be the point?

I saw a video that showed teenagers being asked by a teacher to make a call on a rotary phone. They pressed their fingers down in the holes in the dial where the numbers/letters reside rather than twirling the dial. One picked up the receiver and waved it around in the air thinking it might be needed to get a signal. Another teenager noticed a connection to the wall and determined it was for charging the batteries.

The internet has to be declared an essential service. We have reached that point.
