I ditched adobe, I use foxit reader, only a fraction of the size of adobe reader, I discovered it after i trued ti use adobe reader 9 on my netbook and it ground my netbook down to a halt.

foxit is very lght loads fast, renders the pdfs pretty fast too, it's like the google chrome of pdf readers.

I've got it installed on my gaming rig as well now.

It has an autoscroll feature which is great for readingbooks of netbooks, once you find the right scroll speed you can read stuff without lifiting a finger, laptop resting on chest. eyes on monitor, arms insde the covers... :)

No Adobe Reader Here, I have a PDF reader though. I use Foxit Reader or PDF X-Change.

No Adobe bloatware here. Foxit Reader. Much smaller footprint, and far fewer vulnerabilies.

For anyone keeping count, that is about 50% of responding posters who have dumped Adobe.

In the past I uses Adobe Reader X and Foxit Reader. But I found out that it's not that compatible with GeSWall...that Adobe Reader freezed after it was opened, but when I disable GeSWall it just runs ok.

Also Adobe Reader X becomes "dominant" that even if I choose to open file with Foxit Reader it still opens up in Adobe Reader. Ohh!!!

I just decided to uninstall and remove Adobe Reader X on my pc (I think it's big and heavy also slow and eats up more memory) and just decided to retain and use Foxit Reader.

But maybe if some files won't open w/ Foxit Reader then I would just install again Adobe Reader but it should be Version 7. :D

I've tried their latest version but I don't like the looks it's darker.. ....also it eats up lots of memory ...

So I remove it from my pc and use Foxit Reader instead. It's light, clear and fast. No problemo. ;)

I'm thinking of buying an iMac. Adobe reader has a Mac version, but I can't find another lighter reader that does yet. Not Fox Reader or my choice, PDF-Xchange.
