    SPI/NAT Router
    Windows XP FW
    Comodo FW

Yep, that's right, I use the XP FW & Comodo FW. I don't recommend to people to use more than 1 FW, but the XP FW is the one exception where it's okay. It seems to run along side other 3'rd party software FW's just fine. I wouldn't do it with the Vista or 7 FW.

I have exceptions disabled in the XP FW, and tweak Group Policy to grey out the settings to prevent it from being bypassed/disabled by malware... as I've seen the latter happen otherwise.

Windows FW can run with other FW. Same thing in V/7 - even though Comodo handles things the FW is still running.

Ah, I thought that perhaps because the Vista/7 FW's had more meat to them it may cause conflicts with another software FW.

Of course... if I were running Win7, I wouldn't have any use for another FW, rendering it moot. And if I wanted a HIPS I'd use a pure one like Malware Defender.

Software and Modem Firewall. If I had my way, something like Untangle would probably be added as well.

I use both. I havent used a software firewall for years. Have always relied on the firewall in the router. But returning to Wilderssecurity I found this lovely little firewall: Tinywall. So simpel that I just have to use it :)
