My Download manager (free download manager) has an option to automatically scan all files being downloaded for viruses. But when i click on it it is asking me to insert a link to the scanning program.

The problem is that i use mcafee virus scan enterprise 8 and i dont know what the exact exe is for the scanner as the folder is full of exe's.

What do i choose to have this automatic scanning of downloads

    Thank you
    Anthony

McAfee will scan them anyway as long as you have the settings correct.

ON ACCESS - DETECION - when writing to disks - when reading from disk - All files

The on-demand scanner is scan32 in the Networks Associate/VirusScan Folder.

But as Ianb states, the RTM, Mcshield.exe, picks up nearly everthing. One of the few AV Guards to scan archives, and without any slowdowns ;)

Assuming you have a similar set up to me, I think it will be one of the .exe files found in

    C:\Program Files\Network Associates

I'm not sure which one though.
