I have the free Prevx. Would the facebook offer add anything to it? Are there any catches to the facebook offer? Somehow I thought the free version of Prevx 3.0 included Safe Online.
I am not a member of facebook. Thanks.

    Regards,
    Jerry

Facebook version is same as Free, except SafeOnline will be unrestricted (no trials or other limitations).

I have the full version of prevx running right now but just dont feel mse is enough since microsoft is such a target for everything. I am looking at other AV to replace at it the time. So far I havent picked anything up with either although I think there is at the very least some spyware on the pc but am not sure..I'll let it run while i look around and see how it goes.thanks for the help

I'm using it right now with Prevx. I was using Panda Cloud, uninstalled it and installed Prevx only, then I installed MSE to run with Prevx.

I am probably just over cautious or read too much and may not have any :) Some of the files I have seen have been off in one way or another while im manually searching them. dates of install and last accessed are way off etc.. Like i said,I probably just look too much into things aren't anything.

I have only used the free version of mbam so i'm assuming that the pro is the paid version? Forgive my lack of freebie wisdom lol, I dont use them often. And if it is the paid version, can it run in real time with either eset or mse or need to be set to on demand and auto updates?

Regarding the Facebook download. Must one be a member of Facebook to take advantage of the freebie?
I don't trust that my privacy won't be further invaded, so if I need to register or become a member I will pass on this one.
    Thanks.

Maybe I have installed it wrong and have since uninstalled until i fully understand the first part of the installation. I dont get the part that has you randomize and then uninstall and reinstall the program and may have skipped that part.

    :D
Being taken is what I am concerned about.:D In 100 years who knows who is looking for me - maybe to give me money - or maybe not.:D

It would be less expensive to buy the whole thing, except I have not felt the need for it.
I guess you have the paid version with the SOL.

    Jerry

    keyscrambler
    LUA + SPR + surun

Well I run MSE on one machine, I use fire fox with no script and WOT. Has anyone been infected while using fire fox and these addon's? At any rate these extras work fine for me and MSE!

I use Windows 7 x64, Returnil, MSE, WinPatrol Pro and Windows firewall.

I have lost some confidence in MSE, because I was recently infected with a Trojan that it did not detect (false negative). This happened when I installed a program, the Returnil virtual protection was inactive. Later, I scanned the installer files with Malwerbytes and SUPER, and both detected the Trojan.

To clean the system, I restored an image of the system partition. Backing up the system partition is the best security measure I know of.

I have used or already had much of what was mentioned in that post in place already. I just wanted a safe effective secondary that can run with MSE. I got the answers I need I think

Yes, the Pro version is the paid version. It offers real-time protection and downloads updates automatically as per a schedule you set. It can run alongside any AV...I've tested it with many. It's a one time lifetime fee to purchase the Pro/Paid version.
