    Yes, it's true. Sometimes, we just can't fight destiny... I mean, who would have thought that my MP4, which I was going to use to boot Windows/Linux/Hiren, was also going to go kaput? :argh:

    The sad thing, is that I also had my PowerShell studying material in the laptop. :ouch: :ouch:

    Spinrite is industry recovery software. It does a brilliant job recovering data.

    For cheap externals buy a samsung F4 spinpoint they're going for around 30usd for a 380 or something drive. Then you buy one of those hdd enclosures that comes with a adapter. They like 10bucks.

    Apparently, the laptop is burning (the term used by the computer shop guy) every hdd that he places in it.
