I put another vote in for my friend who doesn't use any updater either.

She says there are too many make-work arbitrary changes in software. Changes for changes sake. That sort of thing. Why keep re-inventing the wheel when the one we have now is trued, rotated, aligned, and balanced?

..Especially with ridiculous GUI changes and new menu options that do the exact same thing as the old ones.

Manually but I use Ketarin and SUMo portable to check for updates which I might have missed.

I like this tool because they use clean Software without all the toolbars and adware junk, no need to uncheck any boxes during installation, like ImgBurn is a clean Install while using this tool. You can keep your installer and run it and it will check for updates and install the updates and ignore the current versions, and it gives you a variety of the most popular free software that you can install all at once.

But soon Microsoft is going to add this thing called Private Agent to Windows, which is basically an Intrusive Keylogger that watches your every move so It can basically study you and give you adds and advice, so I'm taking my Microsoft OS offline when this happens. Glad I started using Linux 2 years ago....

+1 but installed SUMo (paid), and to a lesser degree Secunia PSI.
I do use Ninite Updater for some automatic updating.

Edit: And PortableApps.com and Liberkey self-update as well.

This poll was created back in 2015. Maybe time to create a new poll instead?

    I currently use the following.

    IObit Software Updater Pro.
It automatically scans for updates daily and automatically installs any updates it finds.

I also very occasionally run manual scans with Glary Software Update Pro and Patch My PC.

I also use Internet Download Accelerator Pro and FlashGet to check for updated versions of around 700 different installers.

No, I got it as a giveaway, as I did with Glarysoft's Software Update Pro. IObit's software is often available as giveaways.
