Both, really. I've gone from security suites, to seperate products, to "hardcore" no blacklisting, and back to all of them on different occasions.

Nowadays, different specialized products, but it always changes - before I've been running a suite together with separate software, and it might always happen again. ;)

I think the layered approach is the best way to go

A set of different specialized products.

    I use the layered approach.
Separate av, firewall, antimalware, and Opera mostly.

I usa Avast free , Spywareblaster,Spywareguard, ATF cleaner, Superantispyware and Malwarebytes anti-malware(both weekly) and Adaware (weekly) Windows firewall and Javacools MRU blaster and Jason's Script sentry. Also check in and run Eset's free scanner weekly.

  10. No offense, but... You're not. A computer can be made very secure, and with KIS probably is, but 100% is impossible unless you lock your computer in a safe.

Greetings! Currently use Vipre and Prevx 3.0 as main protection, and S.A.S.Pro for on demand scans. And SPF Personal firewall. And I believe in a layered approach and the process of Trial and Error. The apps listed provide adequate protection for my useage, but their is a bevy of superb protection available both paid and non paid. The apps also run light on CPU useage and they all operate harmoniously with each other. All in all I'm satisfied with my set-up. Sincerely....Securon
