what program do you use to add a startup program in windows 7?

i still have startup control panel 2.8 _http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml

    but really very old

    is there a similar alternative?
a simple tool , maybe without installation and free

    thanks

just create a shortcut and drag it to the Startup folder

this is the location in Windows 8.
it's probably the same in 7:
    Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

For what you want, WhatInStartup, from NirSoft is excellent.
