I'm using the new Iobit toolbox. Their utilities are pretty good.

    Deep Freeze.

Using Deep Freeze, I'm assured of a return to previous state on reboot (nothing written to C:\ is retained), hence, no need for other maintenance utilities.

I use the built-in Windows Defragmentation utility for the other partitions when they need it (which isn't very often!)

On mine, very little maintenance is necessary. The OS and user files are on separate partitions. The swap file is on a dedicated partition and fixed in size. Virtual systems and their "undo" files are on their own dedicated partition. The browser cache and temp folders are on a RAMdrive and are purged at each reboot. Eraser 5.7 wipes the few remaining data storage folders, eg flash player cookies and log files for instance, on a regular schedule. Since my system is default-deny, the system partition changes very little. There's no real need to defragment it.

I prefer to stick with Piriform tools. Very low profile and effective.
Also registry cleaner doesn't make more damage than good. Usually registry cleaners kill the system sooner or later. CCleaner doesn't do that as i'm using it for ages without a single problem. It doesn't clean as much, but it's much more reliable.
Sometimes i use Auslogics Disk Defrag because of the neat realtime monitor. Mostly for noob users.

Hmmm, I've seen that name somewhere recently.

The utilities I use that might fit into the category of maintenance: CCleaner, RevoPro, SecuniaPSI, PeaZip, Acronis True Image, Windows 7 defrag.
