:D ...I have been beta testing live since 2005, when I started testing Sunbelt Counterspy. Firstly, on an old hand-me-down computer, and currently with my custom desktop since 2007.

I don't know how to do it differently, ...I don't want to tamper with the way I do things, and trying a VM. I might mess up!;)

Unfortunately Comodo sandbox didn't pan out as an SBie replacement; perhaps, v6 will do the trick.:argh:

Switched to OpenDNS and will probably add DNSCrypt.
(Also added 2 more GB of RAM last night, but that's not security, now is it?) ;)

adding more ram to your machine makes it less vulnerable being shut down by a denial of service attack :D

Yeah, maybe now I can open a web page and get off of it before the malware has time to load. ;)

Giving OnlineArmor 5.5.0.1616 + Sandboxie 3.70 a spin along with Shadow Defender 1.1.0.325 which has a permanent spot here.

Removed NOD32 - it uses too much CPU time (although only web scanning, outlook and removable media protection was enabled).

Switched back to OpenDNS - I find it faster than Norton's DNS.

You just went sloppy with your setup again :D Oh well...

Actually I used to have two laptops so I was able to use one as a test pc but not anyone. I sold the test laptop to someone who really needed a laptop.

I think this setup is really strong. I have not found any conflict yet. :) Everything runs smooth. ;)

I think ESS also has HIPS. Are you using two HIPS at the same time?

Yep ESS has HIPS, which part of ESS's self-defense.

Ah thanks for the confirmation adult. I think Toxin has disabled ESS HIPS since he is using Defensewall HIPS. :)

    ESS's HIPS has two functions:
    1. ESS's self defence (which can be disabled) and
    2. Classical HIPS

If you put it in Interactive mode, you get prompts just like with any classical HIPS. I hope that ESET will improve HIPS module and make it even more configurable.
This would be great AV+HIPS combination in one product.
