I've found ADMuncher actually speed things up since it filters so much junk from downloading.

I've had the same experience here with AdMuncher, a must have in my book.

Thanks for responses, guys. I thought it was slowing my browsing down but I think it was something else causing the problem.

Ad Muncher slowed my XP SP3 systems down (despite turning off Logs and reducing the Routing buffer size from 16KB to 4KB... advice I received from a longtime user). I tried AM on both home computers to be sure. The slowdown was noticeable, and it went away when the software was removed. YMMV. ;)

Well it never slowed my laptop, just seemed like websites were loading slower but I found out what it was.

My issues were with Ad Muncher Premium... but since so many users run it without any problems, I guess it's just as accurate to say the issues were with my setup, not with AM. :)

I'm using the premium version K.

Nice and simple setup, I like that. :D

Well it could be conflicting with some software you use. My issue ended up being DNS related.

I tried but I can not go without Ad Muncher, one of the best software I've ever experienced!

KeyScrambler Pro also so simple, light and makes your service.

Free programs do the same thing AM does, in my opinion, and they do it as well.

That's not my experience. I visit sites like yahoo baseball and youtube. I've not found any ad blocker that can stop the yahoo web player from loading and playing automatically, except ad muncher can do it. Also in youtube ad muncher blocks those in video ads which is nice. Pretty much any ad I've had problems with were addressed within a few hours by making a post on the ad muncher forum.

    XP desktop
    LUA & SRP
Netgear router + Windows Firewall w/ no exceptions allowed
Firefox w/ adblock and a few other add ons
Sumo update checker, Sumatra for PDF's (no adobe)
Hitman Pro/Mbam/Emsisoft Emergency Kit or CCE on demand scans once in a blue moon
This is an old p4 homebuilt pc with 1 gb ram, uses 115mb ram on startup and is way faster than many new machines loaded with tons of software

Windows 7 64bit Home Premium Laptop
    LUA & Parental Controls
Windows Firewall with Advanced Security, 2 way control
EMET applied to all web facing apps
MSE 4 (often turn off real time protection while using LUA to lighten up disk usage a bit)
Browse mainly in IE9 protected mode w ads blocked and spell checker add ons
Hitman Pro/Mbam/Emsisoft Emergency Kit or CCE on demand scans once in a blue moon
Sumo update checker, Sumatra for PDF's, Windows system image
This laptop has an i3 cpu, 6gb ram, have disabled Aero to lighten the load and I don't care for Aero that much anyway, disabled windows search to save disk wear as I know where files are and rarely search and the laptop felt snappier after disabling it, the laptop really only runs MSE realtime so its extremely fast, secure and stable just how I like it. I also periodically look at autoruns, procmon, and process explorer to make sure everything looks legit and running smooth.

FWIW, because of what you wrote, I went to http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/scoreboard
and the yahoo web player loaded but did not play.
And I don't see any video ads in youtube.
    I use AdBlock Chrome extension.
I'm glad you are happy with AdMuncher.
They have great support people, I know that.
AdBlock is perfect for me. :thumb:

Like blocking ads in e-mail clients, IM clients or any other program beyond the browser only, don't think so.

The very most users are still using Adblock Plus etc addons, but sure there's a new player in the field maybe...
