What is your security setup these days?

    Absolutley loving Faronics AE.:thumb: No conflicks with AppGuard so far.

    Absolutley loving Faronics AE,i have it in all my computers and it runs smooth and it is very silent protection i password protected;) it is my faborite so far:thumb:

    I have not set up the password yet.Is the password protection only to open AE or password required to allow a install.

    for all changes dave,even allow/denny pop up need to put the password

    Thanks djohn. I'll have to give it a whirl again. I liked appguard a lot. I'm hoping that Anti-exe is a little more friendly with the white list.

    on installation it sets up the control list or whitelist for whats on your system and its good to go.

    It does it automatically it maybe at the end of the installation I cant recall.No problems here on win7 32 bit.

    Lock ups were indeed a big issue with previous releases of AE but with the latest release, lock ups have gone away like magic even with the DLL protection turned on which were the chief cause of lock ups.AE has now become just perfect on Vista/7.

    Removed Webroot SecureAnywhere Essentials. Too many false positives for my liking, as well as blocking legitimate programs - programs I have reported in the past and had fixed (temporarily it seems). There comes a time when an application is more hassle than it's worth.

    Back to avast! Free, which has given me zero issues over the years. I particularly like version 7; both its new UI and cloud features are very nice.
