To each their own! I think there are potential benefits and potential downsides on both sides. I had a similar conversation on the Sandboxie forums.

I also run at max security with no issues. There used to be a java update problem but not any more. 0 issues.

Totally agree. I just figured that I'd try it out with Chrome added and see if there are any issues. So far so good.

    Cheers.

The only issue I ever had with Chrome running with EMET was that silverlight had issues with EAF.

Ok EMET had to be backed off to regular setting. For some reason I couldn't open UltraISO. It wouldn't open at all, even under admin. After going from max security to regular, I could then open UltraISO. Odd.

When I recommend users to use EMET I often tell them to keep default System Wide settings and to force individual programs so that it's easier to trouble shoot/ deal with.

I'm pretty happy with regular security settings. I still have Java, adobe reader and flash forced.

I installed EMET at maximum setting and am adding applications to the list to see how they do. Also added the Site Advisor extension to Chrome.

And what do you think about setup like this...is it worth of attention? Just now I try it:
    Real-time: Kerio 2.1.5 Free + Mamutu + SpyShelter Free +EMET
    On-demand: Keriver 1-Click + Wondershare Time Freeze + MBAM
Browser: Firefox + NoScript, Adblock, BetterPrivacy, KS

Yes...I know...but I dislike apps based on sandbox (much more I like "light virtualisation") and this time I decided to have setup without AV :)

well, then your setup is just fine...except that replacing Kerio 2.1.5 Free and SpyShelter Free with private firewall sure will make the setup better ;) ....

I just installed PandaCloud for its URL filter. Might as well keep the AV on for a while and see how it does.

I have Webroot Secure Anywhere and Mamutu.

Mamutu license will be expired in 15 days and I'm looking for another program to replace it.I hesitate between Appguard and Novirus Thanks Exe Radar Pro.

    Greetings WS Community,

    After endless hours of research, trial, error and auditing I have come up with this setup;

< Stacked Routers enabling Multi-NAT with SPI Firewall (Blocking all ports but 53 UDP, 80 and 443 TCP (With optional port list settings for various multiplayer games in egs. Battlefield 3 ((which has a ridiculous amount of active port requirement)) >

Windows 7 x64 hardened through Belarc Advisor and Blackviper's Tweaked Services setup

    Active:
    < Privatefirewall >
    < ESET NOD32 Antivirus >
    < Malwarebytes Anti-Malware PRO >
< PeerBlock (Spyware, Malware, Advertising and various other malicious IP lists)>
    < Appguard: Locked Down >

    On-Demand:
    < Hitman Pro >
    < Emsisoft Anti-Malware >
    < SUPERAntiSpyware >

-Firefox 8 (NoScript, HTTPS Finder, BrowserProtect) general browsing

-Google Chrome 15 (--safe-plugins --no-referrers --incognito --force-https) run through Sandboxie for banking, shopping etc.

-EMET at MAX activated on the system and the apps Firefox, Chrome, LSSAS service and PeerBlock

    Phew!

I'm apparently a very important figure, and I have an unhealthy amount of 'online nemesis / stalkers' with malicious capabilities. I'm hoping this will keep those baddies out for good. How do you find my setup? Any suggestions?

    Love the site!

    Thank you.
