Very little changes after all this time, and yet security setup is as strong as ever.

Thanks jmonge downloaded and running smooth here also. Here is changelog:

A number of small improvements are present in order to increase stability and compatibility, such as:

    - Strings operations are re-written safe way.
    - This build Windows 8 compatible but one issue on MS side cause its "pre" build to hang on restart (Win8 bug ticket #495442).

My other PC has the same setup except Online Armor in place of Privatefirewall.

    ~Neither firewall has HIPS enabled.

MBAM Pro runs on both computers,
as well as KeePass and KeyScrambler.

Chrome is my default browser, with AdBlock (for drivebys), TrafficLight, WOT and BitDefender QuickScan extensions.

Hitman Pro is my main on-demand scanner.

This is the best setup I have ever run, and so I don't change.

How much RAM you got there? MSE is resource hungry. You might want to try Panda Cloud, avast! or Webroot SecureAnywhere. ;)

I know I know, MSE eat all my ram. But FOR SOME REASON, out of all those that you said, it was the lightest on my system of them all the last time I tried it o_O I have 3gb :isay:

& Does MSE cache scans anyhow?

With Malware Defender in your setup, you don't need it.

But the question remains. Does it cache scanning so performance will improve among a scan?

Switched from CIS to PVTFW and it's a very good choice.Seems lighter and faster. For now.

My current "few-days-old" setup on one of my laptop - OA Free switched to PC Tools FW, Avast Free AV and Mamutu. For me it's one of the lightest sets with FW, AV and additional monitor (HIPS/blocker) for begginers and mid-average users.
Works fine, smooth, without any problems and conflicts...you can look at screenshot with usage of computer resources

After trying out some different AV's again I'm back to the setup in my signature.
