See my sig. This will be my setup for the foreseeable future. A combination of free software, inbuilt security and lifetime licenses.

I'm back to the ESET Smart Security 5 RC, after using the Webroot SecureAnywhere Closed BETA for a few days. We are not allowed to speak a lot about it but I can at least say that I think it has huge potential to become something great. 1-2 MB of RAM usage is impressive and good for me since I only got 512 MB in this PC. And it's the first software that I have ever used that uninstalls in only 2 Seconds, or maybe it was gone even faster than that :)

    Security setup in my sig.

Any suggestions? Not interested in an AV -- otherwise, I'd love to hear any (free) software suggestions.

I've considered it. I've heard that people on here use a specific set of rules someone set up once?

I wonder how protected you would be with that setup. It would make for an interesting test.

Why not to drop my 5 cents? :)

At the moment I only use native Vista FW and Windows Defender (not that I rely too much on WD, it is just to keep Security Center happy).

I must admit that my security setup runs stable, easy, light on resources and I'm still not infected :)
