don't be too excited about products with hips and ids and so on.
Unfortunately vendors also buys zero day exploits and add it as rules to their products. I'm not saying your product is doing it but other enterprise products is doing it where they don't hide the rules set well enough. Unfortunately the bad guys are in the habit these days of reverse engineering the security products to find zero days exploits easily without much searching and probing. its in one vendors rule set but leave all the other vendors open for attack.

Right now I'm testing Outpost SS Free for performance purposes; gaming and bandwidth. Haven't hardcore tested it with some heavy games yet, but detection wise, I'm actually really impressed. Even if it can be a bit sensitive it is promising, and when it comes to an advanced user like myself, sensitive detection can actually be a good thing. Thumbs up so far

As I had said earlier, Safe 'n' sec did seem a little heavy. Maybe it works better on some peoples systems.

I never care about updates as long as it seems to work, that's my philosophy for any software I use, so I'm sorry but I can't tell.

Joe I have updated Outpost SS free manually a couple times today, only does the one per day auto though, seems pretty light, and no effects on Rift fps, here's hoping it stays sweet.
