Yes. Trjam is trjam after all, a loved person on Wilders who do stupid things..
Everyone knows who he is, everyone knows what he does, and everyone would have known what that poll was all about. IMHO.

Windows 7 ultimate OS internal mechanisms
    - use internal FW 2-way
    - hardened OS and IE9 through group policy
    - increased UAC protection by changing allow to deny elevate of unsigned programs, same for drivers
    - increased drive by protection by changing 'protection by chaning 'launching programs and unsafe files" from warn to deny (1806)
    - deny execute Data Partition, Public User and Download directory through icacls
    - deny execute USB disks through SRP (and no autorun settings in GPO)
    - Running Mail and Windows Media Player virtualised through Windows own (RUNASINVOKER) registry trick
    - EMET2

    Realtime
Stormshield free: the registry protection is really good, the translation from french to english is a litte confusing: values are
    a) Block = prompt + user choice + default block choice (after 30 secs)
    b) Warning = info display + log warning only
    c) Off

I have it set to warning, sort of as an enhanced MS Defender intrusion detection system. The registry protection of Stormshield covers a lot of autostarts. :thumb: The anti keylogger of the free covers a few user mode hooks. (When you are looking for a strong free AK it is better to choose SpyShelter free on x32.) What I like about StormShield it uses so little CPU time, I can live with waisting a few CPU cycles to security paranoia.

Using IE9 for on-line banking and known sites visiting, using Chromium with the Chrome plug-ins for PDF and Flash incoginito mode (with --safe-plugins switch) for explorational browsing.

    On demand
Hitman Pro and Paragon backup (Image) and Syncback (data)

Staying a way from known bad
Through router: Sinbelt ClearCloud, through IE9 Smartscreen filter, through Chromium (Google's own + McFee Site Advisor)
When I want to try out a program, I download it with IE9 reputation checking and after wards with Hitman Pro.

    Regards

Testing Mamutu next to ESET Smart Security. I took profit of the giveaway.

EDIT: Removed it already again, I have got nothing bad to say about Mamutu. But I just can't stand running two security applications in realtime.

    Mamutu 3.0
    EMET
    sandboxie free
    Windows vista firewall

    running smooth :)

    Well I use Mamutu
    FortKnox Firewall
    on demand only virus scanner
and a hard drive image program

this keeps from any slow down from virus scanners
I scan about once a week, if any thing is found or
even suspected I just re-image the hard drive from
    outside of Windows

I believe once a system is infected you can never
trust it again, this is one reason I do on demand scans
only and I do not try to clean any virus or suspected
problem, I just do a re-image of the drive and all is well
been doing this for years and has served me well so far
of course this all depends on you being "SURE" you have a clean image

Darn, I was expecting to have my Hitman/Prevx bundle about now.:p

Yeah, I didn't know what he was thinking, with some good security programs about to get major up-grades that we have all been waiting for. How could he resist trying them out?

As far as I am concerned, trjam, it wasn't serious and there's nothing to release you from.;)

Yeah it is. I'd be using it but I'm happy with CIS at the moment. My setup has grown on me too. I've been playing around with some alternates on VM but haven't found anything I like yet.
