Did a clean install since I have both 32 bit and 64 bit upgrade disks. I used 32 bit disk to format and remove 64 bit and then installed 32 bit, knowing I had to phone activate, but that was easy.

Because of my experimenting between the two versions I now have saved images of 32 bit and 64 bit. I'm sure I'll be back and forth until I figure out why 64 bit has been a problem.

There's an option in Acronis called Try & Decide, similar to virtualization  (I'm not saying it is virtualization, but works similarly)

Now i can test lots of software :D

Changed again after a week of boredom due to the excellent combination I had (Avira, Malware Defender and Sandboxie) - absolutely glitchfree and very strong. My present set-up is no worse actually, only that slight slowdown of webpage loading due to Avast webshield but it's not such an issue.

I just ordered an 1 year 1 pc license for ESET Smart Security for €20.25, which will arrive tomorrow. So that gives me just one day to check out avast! Free Antivirus version 6.0, which came sooner than I expected.
The user interface improved a lot by making just small improvements, like higher quality window buttons, better looking icons, better Current Status screen, prettier onscreen links and the cleaner top area. It is only a shame that the "like avast?" (should be removed anyway) and "upgrade" buttons are in that ugly colour green. Also nice you can opt out for the gadget and WebRep.
It is good to see Script Shield also being included in the Free Antivirus, a good decision if you take their business model into consideration.
I probably won't have the time to test the AutoSandboxing carefully.
Next to that it is only a little slower on-access compared to avast! version 5.

But alltogether it will be clearly the best product offered by the major free antiviruses (AVG, avast!, Avira, Panda and Microsoft), for now ofcourse.
Next products that I am looking forward to: ESET version 5 and Prevx version 4.

Guess what, 2 days or 1 day after including an imaging software . . .
    It SAVES ME!!!

I went out today the whole day, and for some reason the computer was acting weird, keystrokes weren't working correctly and i wondered if my bro infected the PC.
Then decided to do a recover and VOILA!! :D
    All running smooth now :thumb:

Good setup safeguy :thumb: Such setup is always lightweight and secure unless your novice family member/friend wants to use your computer to browser internet and transfer files to/from flash drive.
