actually jmonge, if you do your online banking and other sensitive stuff after a reboot (from a previous Shadow Mode and you know your system is clean) there should be no nasties to worry about.

i feel SD is solid enough that you don't really need other real-time security apps with it.
i think it's the only security app i trust 100%.

Got rid of prevx SOL and MBAM real time.
Trying out shadowdefender and CIS v5.
I don't know how long this is going last. I'm usually not a big fan of reboot virtualization. I hate having the reboot installing software, never mind to exit out of a shadow mode. I hope that this is a little more secure than time freeze. I remember when time freeze was having issues with some rootkits slipping by it.

Unfortunatly I think that it has gone by the wayside. I think that for most it is too noisey. It takes alot of configuring to play nicely with it.

Felt the itch to start testing some programs again so i did a fresh windows install on the desktop pc and installed rollback rx again. My working snapshot is currently norton 360 for basic security. I was running spyshelter alongside it but i found it too intrusive so currently got zemana antilogger on trial.

Agreed. I use Shadow Defender still from time to time (as I have a license), but since I found Rollback RX, I love the fact that I can uninstall things, reboot, whatever I want and it is SO easy just to go back to when I made my last snapshot. Making a snapshot takes about 15 seconds. Restoring it takes about 1 minute. It's amazing. The one thing I didn't like about Shadow Defender is you cannot reboot, so uninstalling or installing things that require a reboot are out when using it. I have that solved now with Rollback RX. It's just a great piece of software.

Can't agree more with you! :thumb:
I use Rollback Rx and Shadow Defender on different PCs.
    Boot-to-Restore (Shadow Defender) is Good
    BUT
Instant System Recovery (Rollback Rx) is Great; especially when you Test software...
