    Good setup Sjoeii :)

Are you using earlier CF2 (patch a and b are released separately) or newly released CF2 (patch a integrated)?

    Hi,

I posted a Google bug form. When testing as Safe-Admin, Sully and later on Moonblood noticed that some of the tabs were not running with low rights. I can repeat this anomoly also on my PC.

I have tried to inform the guys from Google, even send pictures of it with Process Explorer showing one of the tabs running Medium rights. They say they can't reproduce it.

So I would ask wilders members who use Chrome, could you check the following (download process explorer from technet microsoft).

    1. Open Chrome, open two to four tabs, surf to a page on the first tab, close this tab and open 2 to 4 tabs. Have a look with Processs Explorer to check whether they are all running low rights.

    2. Same sequence, now opening second tab browse to a page. Close first page and open foor to five tabs, check with process explorer.

Back to IE9 now, for the time being.

What for? Why not simply apply an explicit low integrity level to Chrome? :)

I've been running Chromium like that for months now without any issues, and I was thinking that the bug had been solved by now. :D

I have checked it on my installation (Google Chrome 8.0.552.215). All chrome processes except chrome browser and GPU process, all were running at low integrity.

I have been messing with some group policy setting. Setting all to low rights denies startup, with message that my internet settings don't allow it? I applied the same procedure as before, using the settings we have shared.

I will find it out, only not now due to lack of time.

You have to close and re-open Chrome at some point. I forgot in which exact moment it needs to be done. I can't find the steps that had to be done, at the moment. :(

Yes, those behaviors do happen. Now, here's the trick: start the application via cmd line. This will kill the warning, and start the application just fine.

For example, I'm running VLC Media Player with an explicit low integrity level. I cannot start it if I click the shortcut, or if I click the executable in Program Files. But, opening it via cmd line does the trick.

Just create a batch file, then place a shortcut at the Desktop and switch icons to mimic the ones of the applications.

I haven't the time currently to examine this, but that sounds strange. I will definately be looking at this when I get a chance.

At present Quick Heal is an average anti-virus, protects you from most ITW malware. I do have a license key of Quick Heal Total Security, so i thorough i should use it.

Made a minor tweak on my system:

Rising PC Doctor now makes every USB drive inserted on my PC immune to threats, while Panda Cloud makes sure my autorun is off. So now my only tool turned off in Rising PC Doctor is auto repair and update of the OS. One reason for that is I got Windows Update turned on, then again Rising PC Doctor is not suppose to support 7 till a later version but it works anyway
