Added Online Armor Premium. Strangely, with it and Sandboxie, Google Chrome won't connect to the internet, no probs with Firefox and IE 8. So removed Sandboxie and Malware Defender. Do you think Run Safer is any effective? I got used to Sandboxie and I know that Run Safer is no match in the way it works but is it useful?

Okay then, took off NOD32. Is there anything else I can get rid of, or replace with something simpler?

All behind router with Norton DNS

Wife's laptop, Vista x32 business, 2GB, 1,6 AMD Turion 2x, and 250GB Hybrid Momentus Harddisk (with 4 GB read cache)
    - Windows FW with outbound application filtering
    - Safe Admin setup with UAC auto elevate
    - SRP on internet facing software (basic user)
    - Winpatrol (only registry control of user-land autorun/vulnable entries)
    - Avast only e-mail and webshield (no boot scan)
    - IE8 locked down through GPO, lots of other GPO safety settings

    My business desktop, Windows7 x32 Ultimate, 2.95 Ghz, E7200, 2GB RAM, 1TB samsung (145 MB/s read, 85 MB/s write)
    - Windows FW with outbound application filtering
    - Safe Admin with UAC prompt
    - WinPatrol (only registry)
    - Avast only e-mail and web shield (no boot scan)
    - Chrome beta 9

    Son's gaming desktop, Vista x64 Home Premium, AMD x4 Athlon 640 @3Ghz, 4GB RAM, 360 GB Raid 0 (125 MB read/write)
    - Safe Admin with UAC on auto elevate
    - PGS for SRP on internet facing software (basic user)
    - AGV 2011 (ID protection + on Execution)
    - Chrome beta 9

    Son's university laptop, Windows7 x64 Home Premium, Intel 330M, 4GB Ram, 320 GB HD
    - Safe Admin with UAC
    - Avast File Shield only (exec of attachements and executable write)
    - WinPatrol (user land registry autorun + vulnarable keys)
    - Chrome beta 9

Will keep it this way until AppGuard x64 will be released with memory protection (for Windows7 setups).

I really understand users using EAM. It's together with NAV the best solution available when it comes to protection at this date. What I can't take is the insane impact EAM has on the computer resources. The HDD is crumbling under EAMs' weight.

How are you doing this on win7 ? Basic User no longer works properly from what I have seen.

Sorry was a typo, SRP on Vista Business machine, on other Vista machines I use PGS. I will be using AppGuard for it when the release comes out.

Its not crumbling for me. It depends on your pc setup. It doesn't have high I/O activity for me just might spike to 100k RAM at times with version 5.0.0.84 but doesn't seem to be happening with the beta verson i'm using in my sig.

If you don't have the problems, then I'm envious. :) EAM provides top-3 protection while still being one of the cheapest. I'd love to be able to use it as well.

Thanks. I agree with your statement. Maybe they will improve enough for you to use it in the future who knows. :)
