Threatfire is barely holding it's own but i'm seriously considering returning back to MAMUTU if no more positive development surfaces out of Symantec's PC Tools camp.

    I won't wait much longer :D

If you are getting Mamutu (a solid program on my machine that updates frequently), Softpedia still has the 65% discount, making it $9.45 for a year or 3 years for $22.

well, i installed avast pro over the free version for a short period of time (1 day) and started experienced frequent BSOD's that i never did wen using the free version, i suspected it was the pro version causing this but i dont know for sure, so in the meantime ive uninstalled it and installed F-Secure antivirus 2011, this way ill solve 2 things, ill see if avast pro really was the cause of the BSOD's and i get to test F-Secure antivirus 2011 (which im liking quite a bit so far)

    Real-Time:
    F-Secure Antivirus 2011
Comodo Firewall (ill be switching to pc tools fw once its released)
    WinPatrol Plus

    On-Demand:
    Hitman Pro
    MBAM

    Panda Cloud PRO
    PrivateFirewall
Rising PC Doctor (Auto OS Repair & USB Immune module disable)
    Windows Defender (Spynet Advance Membership)

I must say so far this is my favorite setup, its light and effective.

@Jmonge: Here is a link: http://rising-global.com/products/rising-pc-doctor.html Its more of a process manager, startup viewer, with a built in anti-trojan and anti-spyware.

Its kinda hard to really classify it but it contains anti-malware features connected to the Rising Cloud.

@Ibrad: If I remember correctly, RPD do not depend on signature database. So, is it's detection based on heuristics and cloud?

It has a sig database but it seems it is not updated very often. I don't know why the sig database has not been updated recently but I feel it is most likely due to Rising cloud. Another reason it seems to not be updated daily is that it is more of an aid to your current database.

Rising PC Doctor seems heavily cloud based, it detected a few of my Asus files as unknown to the Rising Cloud so I submitted them, but I have no idea how quickly they are checked by the cloud.

Rising says they have a behavior blocker but it does not seem as active as the one in Rising Antivirus. I don't really use Rising for Anti-Spyware and Anti-Trojan but more for its other tools.

Lol you are tempting me to install it again. :p I also liked some of its features. I have one last question. ;) How much RAM does it consume now?
Edit: One qs more...:) Does it auto-update? Because the program version updates frequently.

As for Auto-Updates is should but they have not released any new versions since the 27th of last month. Maybe they are working on something big because I have been unable to get contact with Support. I think they are preparing Rising AV 2011 to be released soon so that may explain it.

    For Ram Usage

    Knownsvr: 9,377K and 0 CPU
    RStray: 5,760k and 0 CPU

    No noticeable slow down

I do not use IE so I have been unable to test how well the IE guard work but I plan on installing it on my family laptop so I can watch how it works in that situation.

About the IE guard, does it install any plugin/toolbar? Can that be opted out?

Thinking about ditching PrevX SOL. Its not playing nice with F Secure's Deep Guard and advanced process monitoring. And going with SandboxIE.

DO NOT install it on top of your current arsenal... it'd be waaaaay overkill. If you really wanna use your license then get rid of Avira and MBAM Pro, not sure if it'd still conflict w/OA...
