hey have you ever tried out private firewall for vista 64 bit yet? i tried it out but one thing i noticed that its missing is the advanced reports option.

windows 7, xp both have that feature and when i tried out private firewall it did not.

I try to get back to basic by using apps that are light on the resources, and if possible use those that came with the system.

    XP Pro:

    -Comodo firewall
-SRP (enforced on all executables and dlls)
    -LUA
    -Tightened ACL:s
    -Disabled silly services
-Frequent Secunia PSI scanning, aiming for 100% every time. ;)
-Configured group policies for local security /protection
-Careful installation of applications. If I don't use a certain app, I uninstall it (Revo) I try to minimize the number of installed apps as much as possible.
-No flash, no Adobe products allowed on my systems
    -Firefox with Noscript and Adblock
-Avira Antivir scanning once a week or so, no real-time protection

System is very snappy and never had any malware problems.

Linux at home: Running Arch linux with firewall, very few services/daemons running (six!) otherwise not so concerned or paranoid about its security.

No, I haven't. I'm not really into firewalls, I mean to me they are all okay, including Window's own.

Desktop = McAfee IS 2010 (2-year subscription), Immunet Free, Admuncher

Laptop = Panda Cloud AV Free, Admuncher

I was thinking about replacing Panda Cloud AV with a 2 year subscription of Immunet Plus but I don't think Immunet has yet proven itself to me to protect my laptop.
