Dropped Immunet Protect Plus again. It bogged my laptop down about every 30 seconds. The cursor would get all glitchy, the browser would lag, the typing would stop. Added Avast File Shield only in place of it.

PrevX Safe Online. Avast is just for scanning files on the computer.

I am going to attempt to complete my security suite combo this weekend. After judging between Online Armor Free and Mamutu to fit into my security suite I have decided I will add Mamutu as soon as possible :)

I think Mamutu is the right choice there. It's (nowadays) the same company behind them but Mamutu is somewhat lighter and more actively developed these past few months, giving an indication of what's going to happen to OA in the future.

Furthermore, I think Mamutu is perfect as it also works as a light firewall, giving you indications of suspicious connections.

I blew the dust off my Look N Stop license and am running it with Panda Cloud and Zemana Antilogger on my main box. So far so good. I'd forgot how light and smooth Look N Stop runs and I still had a copy of my rulesset saved...

How do you set Mamutu up to work as a light firewall?

Added Windows Defender to the family Vista laptop, I love every part of it except that it does not update daily, even if I attempt to update manually.

Removed Vipre finally.... It was working perfectly except that update issue started annoying me again... I didn't want to use beta now.... I will use Vipre after this bug will be fixed.
Moved back to Emsisoft AM and Windows Firewall...:)

    Interesting :thumb:
Decided to try it for the first time, so far so good.
However, one thing is a mystery for me, I can't find process for it and how much memory it's using.
I reckon it must be one of the svchost.exe ?

I have been wondering the same thing, unless they have MSMPENG.exe hidden from take manger? Other then that its working fine, I downloaded the well known AV test file to make sure it was working because at first I thought it was not. It detected fine so it's running something somewhere.

    Found it.
Yes, it's in one of those svchost.exe , one with this properties : svchost.exe -k secsvcs
On my box it uses 19mb of RAM.
Not good, not bad, but guess the best thing is that I can't feel it while using system, so it's gonna stay for now :)

Yeah that's what I figured, the good thing is I can not feel it while running. Also while doing some research online I figured out why Defender only updates every few days.

"Windows Defender was designed to take out the major malware circulating in the current week."

So with that in mind I will keep it running and see how it works. Due to the fact Microsoft's Malware Protection Center should get lots of malware feeds through IE 8, SpyNet, and MSE it should be rather good detection wise for high circulating malware.
