Just my luck, Panda permanently deleted a handful of false-positives after I chose not to neutralize or block them. And Avira, despite my best efforts and reinstalls would not update nor run on startup :(

Back to what I haven't had problems with :) ...yet :D

    New setup :

    Comodo firewall only.
    Prevx SafeOnline.

Should be enough with here and there on-demand with MBAM and Hitman.

    Windows 7 Professional x64:

    Realtime:
    Microsoft Security Essentials

    On-Demand:
    Emsisoft Emergency Kit

    Windows:
    UAC (Higest) Enabled
    DEP: Enabled
    Windows Defender: Disabled
    Windows Firewall: Enabled

    Network and Immunization:
    Norton DNS
    SpywareBlaster 4.3

I need some additional configuration? The SEHOP can be enabled on x64 systems? What is the consequence of enabling DEP for all programs?

    Sorry for so many questions

    Thanks! :thumb:

    1. You don't need any additional configuration. Together with common sense your setup is bulletproof. (If you however want to add something, don't install another program. But use the Windows integrated feature AppLocker.)
    2. SEHOP can be enabled on 64-bit systems, just Google for SEHOP and you will find a Microsoft KB article about SEHOP. Including two ways to enable it: by a Fixit (which does also work on Windows 7) and by a registry trick.
    3. There are some programs which don't use it, and there are some programs which can't handle it. However I never experienced some of the possible negative consequences.

Tried Ikarus AV, took it off and put back Avast. Turned on MBAM's real-time protection.
