May I ask what kind of problems did you have with AE (obviously apart from your uninstall attempt)? I also think restoring an image would probably be the best solution. I'm pretty sure you are aware of the following: to uninstall you must have admin privileges and 'Anti-Executable protection' set to 'Disable'.

Do a search on Security Stronghold.
Not a company I would trust.

I went with a Standard User account in Windows 7 Ultimate. I haven't used the applocker/bitlocker stuff yet. I have to get a usb for the bitlocker. Is applocker setup needed if I'm using a Standard account?

The rest of my desktop remains the same-
    Avast 5 free
    Prevx paid
On demand of Hitman Pro and MBAM

Possibility of adding Comodo firewall since it has the sandbox.

None really... I was just testing the product, which included uninstalling it. Yeah, I was under the admin account with AE disabled. I will reimage later, I just want to see what kind of response I get from support before doing so. Another part of my testing of the product. :D

    Currently trying this setup:

    REAL-TIME
    Microsoft Security Essentials
    Privatefirewall
    Prevx/Safeonline Facebook tool
    Spywareblaster
    Winpatrol Free

    ON-DEMAND
    Avira Free
    Hitman Pro
    MBAM
    Secunia PSI

I know there's probably some duplication there, but everything seems to be running well and lightly so far.

Thinking about complementing my setup with Prevx but the heuristic settings have me stumped.
