Kaspersky, Avira, avast! and Symantec Corporate/EndPoint products offer fully component based installations, without nagging you about non-present components. Thats one reason I don't use NAV/NIS/360/ESET. Component based install is a big thing for me.
P.S. - AVG too offers that sort of option, but lets not bother with it.

My pc is 5 years old and i'm a security maniac so for the last 5 years i have been searching for a way to combine best performance with best security... my setup is :
    Malwarebytes Pro in realtime
Superantispyware, A-squared and Hitman Pro(trial) for scanning(along with MBAM)
Spybot's immunization and Spyware Blaster as a second layer of defense
    Hardware Firewall (my router's)

I'm really happy i haven't got any infections since i started using this setup :)

A have also tried every other way of protection (software firewalls, hips, mvps hosts file, etc) and i have to admit this is the one that i rely on the best ;) (mvps disabled google from loading and hips products kept asking for permissions pfff) So my pc is running like new

Just trying a new combo for fun.

    Returnil Home Lux
    Google Chrome 5 beta (latest)
    MBAM free

    Returnil is always running.

MBAM kept up to date daily and a scan run weekly. So far, nothing has gotten past Returnil. Returnil only causes a little delay on bootup in the morning, which gives me time to grab my coffee.

Trying KIS 2010 again with Prevx. KIS is my favorite suite if I can get it to work well. Can't really find a stand alone firewall I like to go with Avast or Avira. Tried Online Armor with the 64-bit password, but it's definitely not ready.

But I have Prevx only for 90 days, only with SafeOnline, Realtime Infection Monitorning, Scanning and Detection. I think Prevx as web browser addon only is good.

And I have NAT in router enabled.

    In CLT i have 330/340

I was thinking of trying this setup on my XP 32 bit machine. Does it seem like it would cover what it needs to cover. Any suggestions are welcomed.

    PC Tools Firewall - Free
    Avast AV - Free
    A2Squared anti malware - paid

Thinking(pretty much decided unless someone thinks it not good with this setup, to also install Returnil)

    On Demand;
    Malwarebytes
    Hitman Pro
    Super Anti Spyware.
