thanks i learned alot and i decided that ill not use a resident scanner because its only making the computer slow since i setup hitmanpro to scan each startup plus i have shadow defender in shadow mode enabled.

thanks and i decided that i disable windows firewall to avoid conflicts as what i hear running two antivirus or firewall is not a good idea take note of other known firewall that when installed they disables firewall by default so it might be the same reason what i stated just now.

Well, seems like this setup didn't last long.
Avira wasn't being nice with my other programs (OA and A2) had to uninstall it.
My PC was freezing randomly. o_O

Waiting for Defensewall 3. After that I may dump OA and GesWall and just use that.

    Dumped GesWall.
    Trying out defensewall again.
Figured I give it a week or so. Last time it slowed down my internet slightly. Not enough to care but enough that I noticed.

Sorry you had problems with v3.00 DW beta. If you know the circumstances please report it to Ilya Rabinovich the program's developer. He asks that you send him the DW log, which you probably no longer have if you uninstalled v3 and went back to v2.56. Glad that the earlier release version is working for you though. Looks like you have a very solid setup.

It looks like you survived a whole hour without it. Sometimes you feel naked on the Internet without your favorite programs.

Well actually i can reproduce BSOD by just installing dw v3. I just dont know maybe there is something happening in my windows 7 that is causing it as you see my security setup i dont think that there might be a conflict in those programs

It seems you only got appguard+win patrol now, so are you able to test it in a real virus sample to test if it's enough to protect against those modern viruses in the wild?

Hard to say what is conflicting. On my setup Outpost Firewall never got along very well with DW 3 or Malware Defender. Sometimes it is almost machine specific, maybe a conflict with another program that is not security related. In my case I removed Outpost and everything is fine (for the moment at least). DW and MD have no problems with Kaspersky AV. Hope you are able to work out and reinstall DW 3.
