Looks pretty good as is to me, other then maybe upgrading DW to v3, which is still in beta but a very stable beta and should be released as a final soon.

thanks for the suggestion actually i got the idea in your setup simple but effective. with regards to defensewall
is my license can be used in the beta v3? but i have the worries that using beta software means trouble one reason is my computer was fkked when i tried using the beta of webroot internet security even uninstalling is hell and it leaves traces all over your os partition and so even i know there is a v3 i just used the official one which is available in the main site, i think windows firewall is enought no?

I might test the new N360v4 if it's promising. At least NIS2010 is.

i was looking forward for n360 v4 cause i liked n360v3 but so far my experience is that its good for all around protection for your family but some of my real virus test it fails and i feel my computer is going slow by little using using n360v3 in addition to that what i read from here is all in one vs mixed security software which specializes in one thing is better all the time

I don't have a fast PC, so I try to use a light security setup...
I'm now using Avast 5 Free and COMODO Internet Security 4 Beta (just Firewall and Defense+) and this combination works pretty well.
I previously used Online Armor++, but although I was pleased with the protection and the AV detection rate, I also experienced some slowdowns and freezes/BSODs.

This beta is stable as a rock, but you always can just try if it works also for you - since you have ShadowProtect you can easily restore previous image to the original state, doesn't it? :)
Yes Windows 7 FW is enough but... this FW is not user-friendly at all, with DWPF you can easily manage (outgoing connections) which trusted/untrusted app can connect from your computer to the Internet.

As I said give it a try, if you don't like it or you meet any others problems you can always restore your system from image to the previous state. :thumb:

You should be able to upgrade to the beta of DW if you chose. I understand being weary of beta's having my pc messed up by some myself. (not from DW though) As Creer stated the DW beta is a solid beta , no problems here, the only one I had was with AdMuncher which was quickly fixed by Ilya.
Windows FW should be fine as long as your comfortable with it.

Thanks for the tips it given me more reasons to use shadow protect. And since using defendewall with firewall i have an anti exec + firewall should there be a need to use an antivirus in real time? Cause i use hitman pro as an on demand scan on startups.

Ok i will use the defensewall firewall beta im looking forward that it would secure my computer more than windows firewall itself. You mentioned you're using ad muncher and im a user of firefox with adblock so is it suggestable to use admuncher than adblock since we all know ads only comes from the browser itself? I used admuncher before and i see it's a very good adblocker but i just dont like it hangs in the tray icons which is not like adblock which is only in the browser itself.

must not have been 2010 because I have tried all their products and bloat and slow do not ring a bell for me. The suite is very nice and light.
