Hello ! jmonge ; to address your query, so far so good it's not a memory hog and it has about six processes within it's set-up. I was a bit reluctant at first subscribing to a Suite set-up as opposed to a selection of separate apps. It's an extremely solid program meaning you as a user can keep it simple or customize it to a very granular level. And regarding your observation no conflicts with MBAM whatsoever. My advice to you would be take it for a thirty day trial spin. As a footnote I also had Prevx 3.0 installed but removed it due to the fact that when it booted up their seemed to be a bit of a lag in connecting, and when it scanned it was much longer, perhaps there might have been some confliction with it and Security Pro. Anyhow I removed it and as mentioned so far so good, I'm impressed. Sincerely...Securon

Added MBAM pro to the mix. Feel pretty darn safe now.

Firefox 3.6 with Noscript and adbloc addons

MSE great free av dont have to customize much, tried it out on VM machine and detected everything I threw at it

Online Armor free with firewall off has been great for extra protection, just in case, and has low resource usage

MBAM and SAS for on demand scanning and just in case :D

Where I work MBAM and SAS pretty much clean up infected computers. For real nasty infections I use combofix so I can then use MBAM and SAS. Going to try out Hitman pro with the new force breach and see how that works on infected machines.

Have tried A squared but scanner is way too slow. Dr. Web is alright too but doesnt catch everything.

If only there was a program like MBAM with faster scanning and portability, cleaning infected computers would be a breeze.

Dr. Web was the slowest scanner I've tried.

    That would be Hitman Pro.

Yeah Dr. Web is very slow you're right. Also has annoying pop ups to purchase the program. Sweet can't wait to try Hitman pro out.

Removed MSE with the new Avast! on Win7.

Seems to be lighter. Detection rate should be excellent, as always.

Added Shadow Defender and removed Prevx.

After using SD for some testing, Prevx did nothing to protect the system. Perhaps it would have without Avast and MBAM running in real time, so I'm not saying Prevx isn't any good, but I think it is simply overkill for me at this point.

I'm pretty sure this will be my permanent solution:

    Avast (Free)
    PC Tools Firewall Plus (Free)
Malwarebytes Pro (One time license fee)
Shadow Defender (One time license fee)

I don't think you can beat that setup quite frankly. SD is along for the ride as I do some testing here and there so I'm not running in Shadow Mode all the time.

I think I've finally settled with my current setup :D

    Realtime
    Rising Free AV
    Online-Armor Free

    On-Demand
    MBAM
    A-Squared Free
    Hitman Pro (free scanning)

  19. Firewall: XP firewall, exceptions disabled. Because by the time I need an outbound firewall, it's already too late.

Sandbox: GeSWall. I would be using Sandboxie, but the CONSTANT UNSTOPPABLE NAG SCREENS make it not an option.

(Yes, I know, I'm supposed to buy it. I'll contemplate buying it when Tzur removes the nags.)

    On-demand antimalware: MBAM.

    Backup: Macrium Reflect Free.

    System cleaner: Glary Utilities Free.

    HijackThis: HijackThis, of course!

    good enough or bad?
and also i want to protect my family which is computer novices so when i used other protections like OA,comodo, avira they dont like all the popups at all and they want it removed or complaining and always asking what to do with those popups

and also with regards to shadow defender should i only put where the OS installed in shadow mode always? what if lets say i have 2 partitions C and D where the os is installed in C and in shadow mode and 1 virus/trojan is installed in D which shadow mode is not enabled if i restart will be the trojan/virus will still be active?
