9 weeks for me since dropping BOClean and adding Prevx Realtime. The other programs in my sig have been on my machines a lot longer. It all works for me! :)

I took a different route. I really still like amd missed ESS. By keeping Sandboxie it just adds to the overall total protection and runs so well on my computers. Kaspersky, you aint the only one with a Sandbox.:D

Smart UAC started to cause repeating BSODs without a particular reason, had to go into safe-mode to be sure the OS doesn't crash - cya! :D

Been around the whole lot of security apps and always come back to where I probably should have stayed in the first place-

    Vista Home Premium 32 bit

    On Demand- MBAM, Avira
    Background- Norton's UAC Control, SpywareBlaster
Real Time- Nod32 4.0, SAS Pro, Prevx free, PC Tools Firewall, highspeed modem w. built in firewall, WOT, Ad Muncher

Browsers- IE7, Google Chrome, Opera, FF

So I have to purchase an annual license for Nod- I usually find it for under $20. I have tried every other av and none work as seamlessly as ESET. SAS Pro for $9.99 lifetime license seems like a steal. Plus a little AS protection alongside Nod is probably a good thing. Ad Muncher is a lifetime license as well- for their 4.++ version anyway. No ad blocker is better IMO.

In all I get lifetime license for SAS and a while for AM for $25+/- total for both. Add $20 annually for Nod and I am set.

Maybe I'll try a free av and possibly GesWall or Sandboxie and a free av when my current subscription to Nod ends next month. Or maybe try something like defensewall and a free av? I am sure I will tinker with things a bit.

Prevx and Sandboxie is honestly the best combo I have found. No system impact at all. Trying a similar one now. But yes, Prevx and Sandboxie can not be beat. The best.:thumb:

Somewhat strange Sandboxie slows browsing. In another post on Wilders it mentions Sandboxies Cryptographic service ocasionally connects to mscrl.microsoft.com via svchost.exe ... checking the authenticity of certificates. I am not sure what else would cause sluggish connection.

    EDIT: link http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?ServicePrograms
