Understood then. My apologies if we seemed to wander OT, but was in answer to the member's question as a point of common courtesy.

LoneWolf do you use free or paid version PrevX?
Why do you still need PrevX when you have MD which gives you great classical HIPS and inform about any action on your computer?

Didn't ignore this, I was just building a new PC, and was set back by a bad stick of RAM. Anyway, yes I do. Browsers, email, media players, Office and Acrobat.

    Paid version.

    1.Extra layer
    2.It's already paid for
    3.No negative impact

    Hardware:

That good old wired SPI router...long may it live!

    Active Anti-malware:

KIS 2009 8.0.0.506...I'm one of the characters that bought the $18 three year Systweak license. This build runs flawlessly on my XP Pro SP3 machine!

Prevx Edge 3.0.1.17...Prevx hit it out of the park with this one (for all non-Americans, this is a good thing!). Paired with KIS, I have a light running and very powerful double whammy against digital miscreants.

Process Lasso Pro 3.52 (at the time of this posting)...not an anti-malware, but it sure keeps everything running smoothly. Just about a must-have, IMO.

    On Demand Anti-malware

Norton Security Scan (scan and clean version!)...Why the hell not! Good second opinion if necessary.

SAS and MBAM...If you're not running these two programs, you're a schmendrek!

SpywareBlaster...Again, why be a schmendrek if you don't have to be.

Radix...I don't like rootkits, they make me irritable.

Safe XP and Seconfig XP...Who doesn't want to have a hardened system? (that's what she said!)

    Yup :D

More like a black spider in a green background. lol

You can actually put the program in a USB stick, and clean another infected computer with it.

I used it on my click-happy sister's PC, and it caught like 8 viruses :argh:

    There's free and paid.

    The paid version has auto-update.
Whilst the free version, you will have to re-download the program whenever there's a new update.

It's light, but scanning is very slow :gack:
