I am having trouble getting MS Edge to work in a Sandbox.

Also, I am using the last Sandboxie version from Sophos. I am worried that later versions of Windows 10 may have issues with this version of Sandboxie and I don't feel like switching to one of the other Sandboxie versions (Open Source, etc.).

Is it easy to convert over to using one of the other Sandboxie's? Current Sophos Sandboxie INI compatible with other Sandboxie's?

I'm toying with the idea of changing my security setup. There are two setups that I have taken into consideration so far:

    (1) Kaspersky Internet Security + OSArmor + Macrium Reflect (my current security setup)
    (2) AppGuard Solo + Windows Defender (or any other AV software) + Macrium Reflect

What would be your choice? 1, 2 or something completely different? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello Buddel,

On one of my PC, I have been running WD + OSArmor + Macrium Reflect for 3-4 month now. Very light and no problem so far...:) You are not happy with your choice 1 anymore?:p

    Hello Antarctia,

Thanks a lot for your post.:thumb: My choice 1 still works, but I would like to give AG Solo a try. However, I'm not sure whether AG Solo is a good choice for a home user. As far as I know, AG is primarily geared towards corporate users, but it does sound interesting.

AG is also expensive for me, but I would be willing to pay for it if it is really worth the price. I'm not too sure about it.

    (1) - osa = kis + mac-ref. :thumb:
you don't need osa with that setup.
    i wouldn't recommend ag if you're a home user.

Thanks for the link, imbd. When I hit the "Try it free for 30 days" button, AOL tells me that this version of AG is not available outside of the US or Canada (I'm in Europe). Apart from that, if the "real" AG version is geared towards corporate clients, I assume that the AOL version of AG is not geared towards home users, either. Maybe I should just stick with KIS + OSA + Macrium Reflect.

it's your call, bud. tech fortress is aimed at home users but it doesn't matter since you're not eligible.

Yep, it doesn't matter in my case, but it does matter if you're in the US or Canada. Anyway, AG is still an option for me. Will think about it.

To switch from latest Sophos Sandboxie to Sandboxie-Plus would this be the correct procedure?

    1. Backup the Sandboxie INI file.
    2. Uninstall Sandboxie.
    3. Restart.
    4. Install Sandboxie-Plus.
    5. Overwrite the Sandboxie-Plus INI file with the one that was backed up from the latest Sophos Sandboxie.

    Thanks in Advance.

Just a reminder... member signatures appear only to someone who is logged in. Not logged in, no sig is visable. In addition, when your signature changes, it changes on every post you ever made. So, for example, if someone wanted to see what your setup was back in 2019, your 2019 post would show your present signature. A more effective method of documenting your setup is to post it, because that info will not change like your signature does. HTH

My current setup is... Sandboxie and some other stuff. :)

I recently replaced 360 Total Security Premium with Huorong Internet Security. I'd been running 360 for two years or so, which is probably the longest I've used any security software for. When WiseVector eventually releases a version which registers itself in Windows Security Center (meaning that Microsoft Defender's real-time protection will be disabled), I will most likely run it on its own. In the meanwhile, it's possible I will start using 360 again, instead of Huorong at some point.
