I've dumped Norton for the time being and am happy with what is in my signature.

Why? I feel like a change, also I disagree with Symantec's recommendation of disabling Windows Defender Limited Periodic Scanning.

I do not feel any less secure and my machines do seem to be more responsive with WD than Norton. They aren't as busy while idle now either.

After a while I also got sick of Norton detecting its own files as malicious. :p

Very similar to that of simisg but for MSE on Windows 10 :doubt:

    Windows 10 version 1607
    Windows firewall/Defender updated 3-4x/day
    On Demand: AdwCleaner/Hitman Pro
Firefox Browser: uBlock Origin/NoScript (tweaked to co-exist well).
    Anti-Exploit: HitmanPro Alert

Everything is updated within one day of new release.

Hi Colorado13: don't know whether one should expand on this too much in this thread but I'll try. I'm still learning about these add-ons, I leave settings mostly at default for NoScript and use relatively few lists in uBlock Origin. Because Windows antivirus is good but not great, I keep both and so far, they look to be functioning independently of each other. Basically for NoScript: globally block Flash and Java, filter scripting and manage third party cookies, that's all I ask of it. I actually removed some default settings, don't remember which ones, sorry. Too much tweaking and you get an ugly, poorly functioning webpage, forcing you to undo all you did and start over.

Settings are configured to my browsing habits. Maybe one or the other is a better idea but both work for me with "less is more" configuration. Scans with AdwCleaner and HMP (big cookie finder) have been clean to date..

Of course, in ESET hips and exploit prevention are disabled.

Can your firewall prevent "hidden icmp connect detected" ? Prolly not :D
