Went back to what has worked the best for me ever.

    360 IS
    Exe Radar Pro
    K9 web protection.

I like using Comodo IS but the detection rates from the AV are good in some parts but in other's their quite frankly abominable
And for some reason this install was causin regular network timeouts so pages wouldnt load :doubt:

Dropped Software Policy in favor of Sandboxie. It's a great program but I figured I might as well make use of my lifetime subscription.

Not that show up on a task manager perhaps, but those gargantuan hosts lists will indeed impact browsing performance. It's pretty much inevitable. You're much better off using an Adblocker, and if you already do I'll bet most of SB is overlap with it.

I used to use it too, along with Spybot S&D's immunization. But they are dated now. I concur with the person that said to ditch it.

If only you bothered to check the HOSTS file... FYI it's all registry, policy, and browser settings modifications. There is no visible impact.

Oh that's great. HMP has gotten better. It's efficient and pretty good at detecting and removing malware especially rootkits. :thumb:

Well I think it's kind of not effective enough now. With your setup it's unnecessarily and doesn't offer much for security enhancement. Then again to each his own.:)

Well you know what they say, there's no meaning in beating a dead horse.

That's good. What about data backup? You use any cloud backup?

I'm just playing more than anything. It never stays the same. Already ditched Bitdefender and Emet.

I think trjam might like F-Secure....good program that doesn't get much notice flying under the radar. Then there is Securon who never changes anything:argh: WSA is your baby! I am still with WSA Complete and VoodooShield but change is healthy!:D Happy Valentines Day!

Good Evening! Rompin...WSA...all the way...too bad the Broncos...couldn't have! Did you receive any snow in your part of The Lone Star State? And Trjam I believe resides in one of the Carolina's...they got maximum Show Flakes. Well since he's trying F-Secure and it being from Finland...hopefully it will be able to sort out any malware...in between the snowflakes...Lol! Sincerely...Securon

I think some of us would buy security Software even if there was no malware on the internet:thumb: :thumb: :argh:

Appguard is my front line barrier. Nothing gets past it. For detection I'm quiet satisfied currently with Windows Defender (Win 8.1) alongside Malwarebytes Pro 1.75. For browing IE 11 all the way!:thumb:

I like the fact that notifications of Windows Defender and Malwarebytes are displayed equally in the top right Corner of the Screen. Grey Background for Windows Defender and a blue Background for Malwarebytes. I think it Looks nice. As if it was one program;)

Tweaked eset eav 7 + firefox (and profile) both installed on a RAMdisk.
Cant believe the speed this is. :D

    Backups with AX64.
    On Demand Scan with MBAM.
Sometimes Sandboxie to test new things.

Turned off superfetch, error reporting, windows search, indexing of drives, defender, uninstalled media features (using own apps).

    Everything updated ftw.
